I Run To Eat! Every step closer to the finish line makes food and good cheer taste that much better!

I've been a Run Clinic instructor since the mid 90's teaching multiple LearnToRun and 10k clinics. Featured Run Instructor in a national Canadian running magazine; Brooks ID Coach; Vancouver Sun Run Instructor; Ambassador for both the RunVan Vancouver International Marathon and the local award winning running app RunGo. I dabble in the 'baby' Ultra Marathon distance of 50K + and hold Marathon Maniac Double Agent status. But don't get me wrong... I don't run fast; I just run forward!

I always look forward to meeting new folks interested in learning to run safely and living a healthy lifestyle. Come join the party! I've brought along so many LearnToRunners into my running vortex of fun with smiles and laughter every step of the way! Now, with a little belief and a "Can Do!" attitude, you can learn lots and enjoy the art of running, too!

I started running back in February of 2014 as a way to encourage my son to also become active. Having never been a runner or even into athletics of any sort, I “ran” into some problems off the start and my friend suggested that I sign up for the Kintec Run Club in April. Upon completing the beginner clinic, I amazed that I was able to actually run 5k. I was then challenged to do the 10k clinic AND sign up for the 10K Vancouver Rock’n Roll in October 2014. I have since completed two 5k runs, four 10k races, my first half marathon on my 40th birthday (Whistler Half Marathon which was just a little hilly LOL) and a total of 9 half marathons. What I’m still surprised by is that at the two year mark, I went from not having ever run before to training for and completing a FULL marathon. Anything is possible with the right mindset, support and plan. What I like most about being a Run Leader is helping new runners step outside their comfort zone to see what they can achieve. Run Leaders got me to where I am today and I would like to pay it forward to new runners and share my love of running.
