In January of this year, there was 6,513 people on the waitlist for knee replacement surgery in BC. Many of these surgeries have been delayed months, or maybe years, with the suspension of 'elective' surgeries following COVID-19 protocols. Many people with Knee OA are suffering in this queue without having fully exhausted conservative options.
Since 2015 Kintec has partnered with the Motion Analysis and Biofeedback Lab at the University of British Columbia to innovate insole design for individuals with Knee OA. The outcome of this project is to create a easy to use, unobtrusive, and effective device that both relieves pain and reduces joint contact loading.
This webinar will review the science behind OARSI best practices for conservative care before diving deeper into the development projects that lead the way to launch of this novel technology.
